"WORKS LIKE AN ULTRASONIC TELESCOPE"

ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY FROM UE SYSTEMS
AND NASA BRINGS DISTANT LEAKS CLOSE UP

No need to use a fork lift or elevated platform to locate those hard to reach leaks!  It is now possible to locate leaks in ceilings, overhead lines, check high voltage equipment at a safe distance and even scan hazardous gas lines safely.

UE Systems, Inc. the world leader in ultrasonic leak detection has teamed up with one of its' customers, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, long recognized as the world leader in space technology, to produce the UE-LRM-2 Long Range Leak Detection Module.  NASA engineers looked for a way to detect leaks in fluid systems of critical out-of-reach launch and ground support equipment. They developed the LRM-2 and licensed it to be made commercially available around the world.

How the UE-LRM-2 works:
T
he unique collecting horn delivers a high degree of reliability, sensitivity and versatility while providing for discrimination against background noises. The parabolic design of the amplifying chamber is designed to reflect all ultrasonic signals directly to the apex of the transducer with minimal acoustic energy loss. The signal is then pre-amplified and transferred to the Ultraprobe housing where it is amplified again. This "double amplification" effect works acoustically just like a telescope bringing the leak close up.
